About the author:

A native of Alaska, Ryan Quinn was an NCAA champion and an all-American skier while at the University of Utah. He worked for five years in New York’s book-publishing industry before moving to Los Angeles, where he writes and trains for marathons. Quinn’s first novel, The Fall, was a finalist in the 2013 International Book Awards.

Gigi Pandian is the USA Today bestselling author of the Jaya Jones Treasure Hunt mystery series (Artifact, Pirate Vishnu, and the forthcoming Quicksand) and the new Accidental Alchemist mysteries. I’ve been such a nomad that I hesitate when people ask me where I’m from. Northern California is the short answer, with Redding my hometown, plus years spent in the San Francisco Bay Area, but the long answer includes New York, Tokyo, LA, Virginia, Seattle, and Florida. It’s hard to keep a library when you move so
much.

I got my BA at Raymond College, a small, liberal arts college that was once (but is sadly no more) part of the University of the Pacific. I took journalism and writing classes, and then my career began in earnest in Tokyo.
